Fun Run Relay - Fund Raiser
In March 2017 the unthinkable happened and our family was thrown into turmoil. My extremely fit and healthy husband Simon collapsed without warning while coaching rugby. He suffered an extremely severe heart attack and is only still with us because his age-group rugby coaching colleagues performed CPR straightaway, had the presence of mind to use the clubhouse defibrillator, that the paramedics arrived promptly and the staff at the Lister Hospital provided fantastic emergency and diagnostic care.
We as a family are extremely grateful for all that was done for him and therefore we want to give something back.
With the kind assistance of www.burnthare.com we are arranging a team relay Fun Run on Sunday 3 June at Hitchin Rugby Club. Proceeds will go to the North Herts Ambulance Service and the Lister Hospital. The run starts at 10.30am.
Please come and support this event whether you are a walker, runner or simply a supporter on the sideline.
Finally, please remember you never know when you or a member of your family will require the emergency and NHS services so please come along and help us give back.
